In der dritten Juliwoche ernten traditionnellerweise die Imker auf Kythira ihren Thymianhonig. Die Bienen haben in den vergangenen Monaten ihr Bestes gegeben. Kein einziger Thymianstrauch ist unbehelligt geblieben. Die Imker sind mit der diesj\u00e4hrigen Ernte zufrieden. Ab dieser Woche stehen die Gl\u00e4ser mit dem \u201eGold von Kythira\u201c wieder in den Regalen der Gesch\u00e4fte. Der kytherianische Honig hat einen vollen und \u00fcberraschend w\u00fcrzigen Geschmack. Die Qualit\u00e4t ist so gut, dass der Honig \u00fcber Jahre gut bleibt und nicht kristallisiert.
