Jedes Mal, wenn ich mit einer Gruppe Avlemonas besuche (das Cavallini Haus, Bardiola, den Hafen und die Burg), wandern wir danach weiter \u00fcber den herrlichen, langgestreckten Strand nach Paleopoli. So auch letzten Freitag. Das Meer war ruhig, M\u00f6ven flogen hoch in die L\u00fcfte um dann wieder abzusteigen, wir atmeten die von angesp\u00fcltem Seetang salzig gewordene Luft und liessen den intensiv blauen Himmel und die beeindruckenden gelben Kalksteinklippen nicht aus den Augen. Welche Sch\u00f6nheit, welche Leere, welche Stille! Ausser uns gab es hier niemanden.<\/p>\n

Traditionsgem\u00e4ss suchten wir herzf\u00f6rmige Steine als Andenken an unseren Besuch des Geburtsortes von Aphrodite. H\u00f6hepunkt der Wanderung im eigentlichen und im \u00fcbertragenen Sinn war der Anstieg zu den Minoischen Grabkammern und schliesslich auf den Gipfel der Klippe.
