On Kythira, more than a thousand believers visit the Panagia Myrtidiotissa Monastery. It is a very impressive and colourful event, mainly because of the procession in which the Myrtidiotissa icon will be paraded throughout the monastery grounds. In the evening, in Potamos, there is the traditional village festival. A famous dance group from Agia Pelagia will open the festival with, of course, the elegant \u2018Potamitikos\u2019 dance. Come to Potamos and join in the fun! And, if you haven\u2019t had enough, the following festival is in Fratsia, a day later, on August 16<sup>th<\/sup>.
