Probably, Jeanette and Jaap from the Netherlands are Kythira\u2019s best walking ambassadors. They have been visiting the island for more than ten years now, mostly twice a year. I am quite sure that they have walked at least a thousand kilometres, not only along the usual paths but also through mainly inaccessible gorges. They are always first in line when newly discovered paths have to be tried or checked by Kythera Hiking Team and Pyrgos House. They also voluntarily help with clearing old trails by cutting bushes and pruning trees. Meanwhile, Jeanette and Jaap are enthusiastically maintaining a Facebook page of their walking adventures.
