Op Kythira gaan meer dan duizend gelovigen naar het klooster van Panagia Myrtidiotissa. Het is een zeer indrukwekkende en kleurrijke bijeenkomst vooral vanwege de processie waarbij de icoon van de Myrtidiotissa over en rond het klooster terrein gedragen wordt. En traditioneel wordt er \u2019s avonds in Potamos een groot dorpsfeest gehouden. De dansgroep van Agia Pelagia opent de feestavond, waarbij de Kythiriaanse dans \u2018Potamitikos\u2019 natuurlijk niet zal ontbreken. Kom ook naar Potamos en dans mee! En, voor iedereen die er geen genoeg van kan krijgen: het volgende dorpsfeest is een dag later, in Fratsia, op 16 augustus.
