Af en toe kom je een wandelende toerist tegen, verder worden er nog steeds olijven geplukt of is men bezig met de voorbereidingen voor de Kerstperiode. Wij gebruiken de wintermaanden vooral voor het nalopen van de routes uit ons wandelboekje \u2018Kythira doorlopend\u2019 en onze drie trektochten (Kythira Trektocht, Rondje Noord, Rondje Zuid), zodat alle routebeschrijvingen voor het komende wandelseizoen geheel ge\u00fcpdatet zijn. En om eventueel dichtbegroeide paden weer begaanbaarder te maken, heb ik in mijn rugzak een grote snoeischaar bij me&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Morgen bijten we het spits af met de route Agia Pelagia \u2013 Platia Ammos, een afwisselende tocht van 22 kilometer met redelijk veel hoogteverschil en met prachtige uitzichten, onder andere vanaf Panagia Despina tou Vounou en vanaf Moudari Vuurtoren. Onderweg houden we natuurlijk halt in het oude dorpskafeneion van Karavas (waar de tijd lijkt stil te staan) om even bij te kletsen met Poppi en Panayotis.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Het eiland verkeert in alle rust.
