The small village of Strapodi is located in the South of Kythira, between Livadi and Chora. Strapodi seems to cling to the steep hillside and the views of the green surroundings are breathtaking. The village is reached along a narrow concrete road and it is at a crossroads of many beautiful and diverse walking routes.
Walkers and nature lovers especially will enjoy their stay here. The walks to Chora or Kapsali, to the beautiful Byzantine Agios Dimitrios church in Pourko or eastwards to Alexandrades and Kato Livadi are just a few examples.
At a distance of only 2 km you will find Livadi, a larger village with shops, a supermarket and tavernas. The nearest beach is in picturesque Kapsali (5 km) and (after a 15 minute drive) you will certainly enjoy the beautiful long Komponada Beach as well.
Spiti Strapodi is located in the middle of the peaceful village – Spiti is Greek for house. Originally it was an old farmhouse and recently it has been restored and converted into a convenient holiday home.
Spiti Strapodi can accommodate one couple or a single guest. The house has a living room with open plan kitchen and a separate bedroom with double bed. The living room has a comfortable sitting area and a big dining table. The bathroom is adjacent with shower, toilet and washbasin.
From the living room, through French doors, there is access to the spacious south facing balcony. Sitting on the balcony you will enjoy the stunning views and in the late afternoon, back home after a walk, it is the best place to be as the sun sets beautifully behind the green hills.
