Have you always wanted to learn the dance steps of the Kalamatianos, the Sirtos or the Chasaposervikos? Or have you always wanted to join a group of dancing Greeks at a summer village festival, but never had the courage? Or do you always say no when they spontaneously ask you to dance with them on a seafront terrace, as soon as the music starts?
In that case you certainly have to join the dance lessons, organised by Pyrgos House from April 2018 onwards, especially for non-Greek visitors to Kythira. In small groups you will learn some of the most popular traditional Greek dances. There will be two lessons a week, late in the afternoon for 2.5 hours. The school is in Agia Pelagia and the teacher is the best you could wish for.
Interested? Please send your email to info@pyrgoshouse.com. By the end of March 2018, we will send you all the information including an interesting discount voucher.
We look forward to see you dancing on Kythira!

Great idea! Might as well truly immerse yourself in the culture and learn a few Greek dance moves in a friendly environment. It can be daunting to new-comers which is why taking some lessons is a great idea.
