Next week, our first guests will arrive for the Olive Picking Walking Weeks which will last until the end of November. This year’s programme, though, will be a bit different. The lack of rain since last winter has meant that even the well-established olive trees have produced too few olives. Many trees are completely barren. The rain of the last few days came too late and wasn’t enough. We informed our participants that we have had to change our activities. We will work as much as possible in the olive groves and we will be walking and doing the planned excursions. This year though, in cooperation with Kythera Hiking Team, we will also assist with clearing walking paths. The guests’ reactions were positive and we are looking forward to having a great time and an active autumn with them!
