On Sunday October 11th the totally overgrown path to the long forgotten Agios Artemios Cave will be cleared. The cave is located in the Vythoulas area, only a short distance from Potamos, and it was rediscovered this summer by speleologist / archaeologist Konstantinos Trimmis. He became curious about Agios Artemios after hearing stories from an elderly villager who, in his childhood, regularly went to the cave. After a difficult search, Konstantinos finally found the location. Now it is your turn to discover the cave, with a small church in the entrance dedicated to Saint Artemios.
If you would like to help clear the overgrown path, join us on Sunday morning at 9 am – in Potamos town square, and you will be surprised by yet another beautiful spot on Kythira.
