This summer the ‘Agios Nikolaos’ is moored in Kapsali. The ship was built in 1947 at the famous Psarros wharf in Piraeus. It sailed for decades as a fishing boat all over the Mediterranean. Nowadays, there are only four of this special kind of ship left.
Captain Dimitris Paraskevopoulos and his son Paris restored the ‘Agios Nikolaos’ with much care and respect for tradition. In 2010 the ship was certified as a monument and is part of Greek cultural heritage.
The daily excursions from Kapsali start at noon and depending on the wind, sail along the east coast to Diakofti or along the west coast to Kalami. During the excursion there will be several stops for a swim in one of secluded bays. You will also sail past caves, and of course the rock island Hytra is part of the tour. Around 8 pm, you will be back in Kapsali.
The price is 55.00 euro per person (children under 12 years old pay 27.50 euro). Included in the price are fresh fruit, lunch buffet, water and wine. Reserve this unforgettable boat excursion by sending an email to info@pyrgoshouse.com or call us on (0030) 698986 3140.
