The first Greek dance holiday on Kythira was a truly wonderful experience for everyone. The participants were so enthusiastic that this trip will become an annual part of the Pyrgos House activities programme.

Hotel Porto Delfino in Kapsali turned out to be the perfect place for an enjoyable stay. Dance lessons were conducted both inside and outside and there was always a magnificent view of the sea in the background.

During this trip we shared our love for Greek dance. Our teacher, Rena, taught us many different dances. The programme also included two excursions. We were touched by the warm welcome of the Roussos family in their authentic pottery workshop. And we were very impressed by the sight of Paleochora, the ancient former capital which was destroyed by Barbarossa. During these outings we spontaneously danced in unexpected places, such as old threshing floors and small church squares.
